CORRUPTION DUE TO ALLIANCE POLITICS?
Congress General Secretary (its dream Prime Minister of future) Rahul Gandhi has to make honest confession that alliance-politics is root of corruption in the country. Also it is no use of having an honest Prime Minister Manmohansingh helplessly bearing dishonest ministers of allied parties, in the manner Bhishma Pitamah was forced to be a witness of infamous stripping of Draupdi in Mahabharat era!

India is facing evils of a democratic form of governance mainly because of blackmail politics by smaller parties, may it be in NDA or UPA regime. This blackmail-politics can and must be effectively checked by electing Prime Minister/Chief Ministers through secret and compulsory vote of all members of the lower House through EVMs on nominations signed by at least one-third members. Members not opting to vote may automatically lose their membership. Such an elected leader may only be removed by the same process but with compulsion to name alternate leader in the same motion. Best is to appoint only those not having contested any elections in last six years as ministers so that elected representatives may serve as watchdog on such appointed ministers
